Visiting the top of Vancouver Island in an RV is an excellent way to see the sights. With plenty of RV friendly campgrounds and RV friendly activities around Port Hardy, there is plenty to see and do. Not to mention, Port Hardy is the gateway to the spectacular Inside Passage, a world class waterway that travels through ancient forests teeming with natural life.
We may be biased, but we feel there is so much to do in Port Hardy and the surrounding areas! We have compiled a list of a few of our favourite things to do while Rving around Port Hardy. All of these activities are RV friendly, meaning they are easy to get to, have plenty of parking and of course show off the highlights of the area we love to call home.

Port Hardy boasts multiple campgrounds that are all in natural settings or are situated along the ocean. Perfect for RVer's, these sites offer ocean views or old growth forest and are conveniently located to suit your needs.
Things to do
Do you love to fish for world class salmon and halibut? Or is strolling a beautiful sandy beach watching bald eagles, porpoises and beach combing your style? From hikes to education centres or quaint former whaling towns, we've got it to see.
The Inside Passage
Port Hardy is just minutes from the BC Ferries terminal for the M.V. Northern Expedition that takes recreational vehicles, cars, trucks and walk-on passengers through the pristine British Columbia coastal waters.
